Rolls Eyes "typical Flaky artistic type" strikes agian!

hello all ---------------------------------- yea its been over a year since my last post here artistic doldrums and depression strikes agian!!
but neh mind lets move on im in the mood agian!

What sort of mood?

a Flintloque mood!

so those who know me will know that i have moved from one end of the country to the other (kent to rural northen scotland/joccia) so most of my stuff is still in storage back in dover :(

but Hey Ho! neh mind i am resourceful (and i have internet connection)
so with the help of Ebay and the bring and buy table at skelp wargames show i present you my latest unit a 90% finished orcish light infantry Regiment "the 19th Border Rangers" a Joccia/Albion border regiment (hence the token Joccian Large rat)

and yes i could have stripped the white undercoat of them but i was feeling a little lazy
the models are a mix of 54008 62nd foot lt inf, 54010 62nd foot fusileers, 54014 45th foot  line
and the command group is a light inf officer from 54001 105th command, sargeant with (modded polearm) from the 54000 62nd foot command and the cornet blower is my favourite greatcoat wearer the spade bearer from the 54029 albion engineers pack

they are converted slightly below my standard uniform mix (1/3rd greatcoats 1/3rd forage caps/bareheaded 1/3rd full uniform)

the 19th Border Rangers
Completed = not yet
No of models =12
Unit Type = orcish light infantary
Uniform = albion cut flank company uniforms with lime green faceings
Trews = dark grey Trews
Headgear = stovepipe shako
Undress = beret (with pom-pom) type forage cap and dark grey greatcoat
Other details =

models below

Bring out yer dead!

Converted orc casualties this is the start of my "bring out your dead" project!

thus 4 normal casulties models/markers (1 for each officer test) for each of my regiments so as each unit takes damage and a officer test is needed i will put a casualty down thus leaving a path of bodies as the armies proceed across the battlefield
note these are in addition to the counters that follow the units

and for the the special "ELTONS Crazy as fuck" touch i will make 3 single bodies and for the 4th "unit destroyed marker there will be a special bigger one with the units banner prominant and whats more they will be converted and painted so each unit has its own 4 models!!

Grand duchy of Barksburg Finished (but not painted)

YAY!! --- YAY!!

I have finally finished the Barksburg Line Regiment!

But Not painted them --- :(
im not decided on colour scheme yet the only but i have decided is dark tunics light trews and metallic braid black would work nicely with either gold or silver braid (or even copper)  but i also favour a nice dark brown which means gold braid or bark blue which favours silver ---- or i might do black with purple faceings and gold briad --- i will ponder

Note i have done 24 models not 20 becuase i might choose to deploy them as landwher (just becuase the uniforms are fancy it doesn't mean the training is up to much) this sort of mix is why i like the confederation of finklestien, so many possible stories to make

Flintloque and cannons and such

Hello all as normal i have been nudged out of my lethargy by somebody else ------- but whatever the reason here i am with cannons to show

Grand duchy of barksburg interrupted 1

SIGH ---------- those of you who know me (such as gavin) will know i am easily distracted (like a kittens first time at the international bright lights and coloured string EXPO in fact) so i chop and change what i work on a lot -- infact the barksburg models were started a few years back (i will finish promise) but heres what i have been doing instead

this is a good example of how i like my units to look ie "on campaign" with all the stresses of supply viz a viz uniform etc
i like to get at least 2/5ths of the unit in great coats and another 2/5ths in forage caps (with some of each crossing over into the other group)
why do i do this?
i belive it looks more reaslistic and im blessed with the ability to sculpt my own detail so i can change the models as i like so here is my new (as yet unamed) Ferach imperial guard regiment

Voltiguers etc

ok heres my voltiguers (undercoated only) also for the uniform obsessive i have done them in late pattern post bardin french uniform

first we have models from pack 51020 which are simple head swap, very easy with a remodeled collar and cravat/neckerchief to cover the join and i snipped away the original head detailing (hair etc) and modeled a post berdin forage cap

ok know these are 3 models from pack 51024 with straight head swaps

ok know whe have 6 of the origional voltiguers with minor modifications notably the horn blower

and finally the officer and i must admit to being unsure of where hes from one of the dark elf packs i think
hes unmodified other than the tailcoats of his jacket

Flintloque Christmas Building

ok next post
the al garvey building from the Christmas was really cool but i wanted to remove all the snow so i could use it all year round.
i briefly tried to remove the snow and then resculpt the deatail but that quickly became obviusly non-viable so i went online and ordered some pantiled plasticard and replaced the roof.

and below is the results (Im qiute pleased)

out of randomness there is a amerkian militia dwarf guarding the building so maybe this building is in Floridee or Texorc
